The location, length, diameter, type of tunnel and materials required are determined.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Geological investigation: During this phase, a geological investigation is carried out to determine the ground conditions in the area where the tunnel will be constructed. Rock and soil types are analysed and potential risks, such as landslides or floods, are determined.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Excavation: Once the design is ready and the geological investigation has been carried out, the excavation of the tunnel begins.
