TUNNELS AND SUBWAY WORKS

Pigra has a great recognition in the speciality of tunnels and subway works, both in railroads, subways, roads, hydraulic works and mines. We have carried out the drafting of projects and specialized annexes, construction management and technical assistance.

During the operation phase, we carry out the monitoring and inspection of its condition, using state-of-the-art technology such as drones and remote satellite sensors. Our highly qualified staff ensures a comprehensive service to our clients, providing geotechnical solutions as well as fully detailed analyses.

In the field of installations that provide the tunnel with lighting, ventilation, operation and safety, Pigra incorporates its knowledge of new technologies and new materials.

Internationally, Pigra collaborates in the drafting of tunnel manuals for governments in Latin America.

Barcelona metro project portfolio

Pigra Engineering has worked on numerous projects for the modernization and extension of the Barcelona metro network. Our most relevant projects are:

  • New L5 station between Collblanc and Pubilla Cases stations. Construction Management.

  • Construction of the new access to Can Vidalet station on L5. Construction Management.

  • Technical assistance to the client for the construction of stations for the new L9 in Barcelona.

  • Extension of the S5 line of FGC in Terrassa. Infrastructure, superstructure and electrification design.
